The projection of 59 cm for global sea level rise (SLR) according to the IPCC’s AR4 until 2100 was moderate. The subsequent Synthesis Report of the IPCC adjusted this figure upwards. New scientific results offer even higher values. This side event brings the newest scientific intelligence on SLR to the UNFCCC community.
